Kim Doubles Through Sinn

dsalituro • Nivo 6: 800-1,600, 1,600 ante

Charles Sinn and Taehyoung Kim tangled in a big pot again, and this time it resulted in Kim doubling up.

Sinn raised to 4,000 preflop before Kim re-raised to 15,000. Sinn then stuck in enough chips to put Kim all in, and Kim called for his last 54,800.

Taehyoung Kim: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Charles Sinn: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Kim made a flush on the turn to leave Sinn drawing dead.

"They never believe me," Sinn while before handing over the chips to Kim.

Lau Min-Bets the River Versus Arieh

dsalituro • Nivo 6: 800-1,600, 1,600 ante

Ka Kwan Lau raised to 5,600 from under the gun and was called by Josh Arieh in early position and Michael Rodrigues from the blinds. The flop came {7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Lau continued for 10,000.

Arieh raised to 28,000 and Rodrigues got out of the way. Lau called to see the {9-Spades} turn and both players checked. When the {2-Diamonds} fell on the river, Lau led out for 1,600.

Arieh called after about 20 seconds and Lau showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a pair of kings to win the pot.

Karakitukov Chips Up

connorrichards • Nivo 6: 800-1,600, 1,600 ante

Veselin Karakitukov opened in the hijack and the small blind defended.

The small blind checked on the flop of {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and called when Karakitukov bet 5,000. The small blind checked again on the {a-Clubs} turn and Karakitukov checked back.

Both players again checked on the {3-Diamonds} river. The small blind announced he had king-queen and Karakitukov showed {a-Spades}{j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} to win the pot with a pair of aces.

Kim Uses All His Time Banks

dsalituro • Nivo 5: 600-1,200, 1,200 ante

With the board showing {6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} on the river, Charles Sinn bet 125,000 and went Taehyoung Kim deep into the tank.

"Will you show if I fold," Kim asked Sinn, who remained stone-faced while getting a massage.

Kim thought about the decision for more than two minutes, using the last of his four time banks before time ran out. The dealer called the floor over and the table argued that Kim had never been warned his time was running out.

The floor gave Kim an additional 30 seconds to act, and as the clock wound down to zero he tossed his cards into the muck. Sinn didn't show.
