Big Stack Poker

David Williams has been the chip leader since the start of the day, a position he has been using to his advantage. In a recent hand, Mark Radoja raised to 6,000 on the button, the small blind folded, and David Williams looked down at his cards in the big.

He must have liked what he saw as he grabbed a tower of orange T1,000 chips and spiked them on the felt. Radoja thought for about 30 seconds before laying down his hand. Now that's big stack poker.

Dominykas Karmazinas is the latest player to be eliminated, all in preflop with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} against Scott Clements {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} but the board came {10-}{10-}{5-}{9-}{7-} and the Lithuanian player was sent to the payouts desk.

Bucherl Busts

After a series of raises preflop, Siegfried Stockinger, Konstantin Bucherl, and Stewart Yancik all ended up all in with Yancik having the other two players covered.

Yancik: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Stockinger: {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Bucherl: {J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Yancik's aces were leading the way but the board ran out {j-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Stockinger made a nine-high straight to nearly triple up. Bucherl was sent to the rail while Yancik was left with 11,500.

Three-Way Battle

We didn't catch the preflop action, but we do know that Wilfried Harig and Inesa Paberzs were all in and covered by Karen Sarkisyan.

Harig: {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Sarkisyan: {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Paberzs: {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Sarkisyan was out in front with his kings, but the {5-Spades}{A-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop changed that. Harig paired his ace to take the lead, leaving both of his opponents in bad shape. Neither the {5-Diamonds} turn nor the {J-Spades} river changed a thing, as Harig essentially tripled. Meanwhile, Paberzs was eliminated from the tournament.

Chidwick Sent to the Rail

Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

We're not sure how it happened, but we can confirm that Stephen Chidwick has been eliminated from the tournament. This marks Chidwick's third cash of the 2011 WSOP, having finished third in the $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em Championship ($198,927) and 156th in Event #34 $1,000 NLHE ($2,603). Not a bad showing for the man from Deal, U.K.
