Aidyn Auyezkanov Piles the Pressure on Nick Petrangelo

will_shill • Nivo 8: 2,500-5,000, 500 ante

Nick Petrangelo raised from the cutoff to 12,000 and a jovial Aidyn Auyezkanov announced "25!" and threw out a single green 25k chip. Petrangelo called.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Auyezkanov bet 30,000. Petrangelo calls. The turn was the {k-Clubs} and Auyezkanov bet 50,000. Petrangelo called again.

The river was the {j-Diamonds} and Auyezkanov cheerfully declared "All in!" Petrangelo held his head in his hands as he pondered his decision.

"Again?" asked tablemate Dario Sammartino, perhaps indicating that this isn't the only time that the Kazakh has been all in recently.

"Why not, it's just a game!" said Auyezkanov, as he reached into his pocket and got his phone out. Snapping a picture of the board, he sat back down at the table.

Petrangelo folded the {2-Clubs} face up saying to Auyezkanov in a pained expression: "Just, please don't show..."

John Juanda

In two hands, both John Juanda and Bryn Kenney have been eliminated from the same table.

Hand 1

Holding {A-}{Q-}, Christoph Vogelsang raised under the gun. Action folded around to John Juanda in the big blind, who shoved 65,000 all in with {7-}{7-}. Vogelsang called and improved his hand to send Juanda to the rail.

Juanda won the EPT Main Event in Barcelona last year, banking a whopping €1,022,593, and will no doubt be back in the Main Event later this week to defend his title.

Hand 2
Julian Stuer raised to 12,000 from late position. Bryn Kenney responded with a three-bet to 38,000 from the big blind. Stuer then took his towering stack of green 25,000 chips and slid them forward, putting Kenney at risk. The American wasted no time in calling off the remainder of his 280,000 stack.

Julian Stuer: {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Bryn Kenney: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

Stuer paired his kicker when the board ran out {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, eliminating Kenney from the tournament.

Connor Drinan (early position) and Steve O'Dwyer (big blind) got their chips in the middle before the flop. O'Dwyer's {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} was trailing the {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} of Connor Drinan and was drawing dead by the time the turn was out: {K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Despite rivering a full house himself, O'Dwyer had to part ways with 208,000 in chips.

Webjoker • Nivo 7: 2,000-4,000, 500 ante

The {2-Hearts} hit the turn and both players checked. With the {10-Hearts} on the river completing the board, Kempe bet out 46,000. Lebedev called but had to muck upon being shown Kempe's {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

Now it was Kitai that started the action, by betting 59,000. Fatehi raised to 120,000 and Kitai checked his stack before calling. The {7-Diamonds} river completed the board and Kitai checked. Fatehi quickly moved all in with the superior stack and Kitai folded as quickly.

Chidwick Doubles; Then Busts

[user38873] • Nivo 7: 2,000-4,000, 500 ante

Stephen Chidwick got his short stack of less than eight big blinds in preflop from early position with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and was called by Andreas Goeller from the small blind. Goeller held {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and improved on the {Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop. Nothing changed with the {9-Diamonds} turn, however the {J-Diamonds} river improved Chidwick.

The Brit then moved all in the very next hand from under the gun and Stanley Choi asked for a count. The all in of Chidwick was for 64,500 and Choi reraised all in for around 180,000. That got everyone else out of the way and this time it was Chidwick with the dominated ace.

Chidwick: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Choi: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and the kicker played a crucial role to eliminate Chidwick.

Bedell Doubles Through Aldemir

[user38873] • Nivo 7: 2,000-4,000, 500 ante

Tom-Aksel Bedell raised to 10,000 and Koray Aldemir called from the cutoff. On the flop of {J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Bedell checked and Aldemir bet 10,500, which Bedell called.

The same action repeated on the {3-Clubs} turn with a check by Bedell, a bet of 18,000 by Aldemir and a call. After the {8-Diamonds} river, Bedell then moved all in and Aldemir called. Bedell showed {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a set of sixes, while Aldemir's {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for top pair and top kicker ended up second best. Bedell doubled for 50,000 and earned back some of the chips he previously lost.
