Hand #177: Colman folded his big blind and Kurganov announced allin. Kurganov had {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and shoved for 1,535,000. Cates instantly folded queen-nine off suit.

Cates and Colman discussed the hand, and Colman thought it was a bad fold against Kurganov's stack.

Hand #178: Cates opened with {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} from the small blind for 400,000. Colman had {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} in the big blind and made the call.

860,000 in the pot and {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} on the flop. Both players checked and the {7-Diamonds} on the turn saw the same action. The {2-Diamonds} fell on the river and Cates bet 475,000. Colman said "This is weird" and thought about it for a little bit. He eventually folded and Cates took it down.

A Three-Way Tango

Chad_Holloway • Nivo 23: 80,000-160,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #167: On a board reading {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{a-Hearts}, Igor Kurganov check-called a bet of 400,000 from Dan Cates. The {2-Spades} completed the board on the river and Kurganov, who held the {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, checked and Cates, who held the best hand with the {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, bet 1.1 million. Kurganov folded and rightly so.

Hand #168: Dan Cates got a walk in the big blind.

Hand #169: Igor Kurganov moved all in for 2.195 million from the button with the {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and took down the pot.

Hand #170: Dan Cates called from the button with the {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Igor Kurganov checked his option from the big blind with the {q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Cates led out for 160,000 on the {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, Kurganov called, and the {a-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn. Kurganov checked, Cates bet 430,000, and Kurganov folded.

Hand #171: Dan Cates, who held pocket eights, got a walk in the big blind.

Hand #172: Dan Cates limped from the small blind with the {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, Daniel Colman checked his option from the big with the {6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, and the flop came down {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Both players checked, the dealer burned and turned the {3-Spades}, and Cates check-folded to a bet of 280,000.

Hand #173: Dan Cates limped the button with the {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, Daniel Colman called from the small blind with the {9-Spades}{7-Spades}, and Igor Kurganov checked his option from the big with the {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}. The {4-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{a-Spades} flop saw Cates bet 160,000 after it checked to him, and only Colman, who had a flush draw, made the call. The {K-Clubs} turn paired the board, Colman led out for 600,000, and as a result he took down the pot.

The Chip Lead Changes Hands

Chad_Holloway • Nivo 22: 60,000-120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #166: Dan Cates limped from the small blind with the {k-Spades}{3-Spades} only to have Daniel Colman raise to 420,000 from the big with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Cates made the call, the flop fell {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and it looked like the fireworks would fly.

Cates checked, Colman bet 450,000, and Cates just made the call. The {K-Diamonds} turn improved Cates to a full house, but it was also a scare card to Colman. Cates checked, and Colman used two hands to slide out a big bet of 1.15 million. Cates took his time before calling, and the {10-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Cates checked for a third time, but Colman checked behind.

With that, Cates took the chip lead from Colman in the last hand of Level 11.

Hand #162: Colman folded his button, but Kurganov with {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} in the small blind pushed. Kates folded his king-four and Kurganov took it down.

Hand #165: Kurganov opened with {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} from the small blind. Cates in the big blind with {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs} called. {J-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{3-Spades} on the flop and Kurganov bet out 275,000 with his top pair. Cates with the flush draw made the call.

Kurganov At Risk Once Again

Chad_Holloway • Nivo 22: 60,000-120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #155: Dan Cates called from the button with the {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Daniel Colman called from the small bling with the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Igor Kurganov checked his option from the big with the {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, and then all three players checked the {6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop. The {6-Hearts} turn saw Colman lead out for 240,000, Kurganov called, and Cates folded. When the {2-Spades} completed the board on the river, Colman kept the pressure on with a bet of 540,000, and Kurganov folded the best hand.

Hand #156: Dan Colman, who held the {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, and Dan Cates, who had the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, saw a flop of {5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}, and Catescheck-called a bet of 250,000. The {4-Spades} appeared on the turn, which they both checked, and that was followed by the {2-Diamonds} river. Cates led out for 675,000, and Colman folded his hand.

Hand #157: Daniel Colman got a walk in the big blind.

Hand #158: Daniel Colman moved all in from the small blind with the {a-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Igor Kurganov called off for 1.165 million in the big blind with the {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Kurganov was behind, but he was drawing to two live cards. The {9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop actually made Kurganov a 58% favorite with straight and flush draws to go with his live cards, and he made the straight when the {10-Hearts} hit the turn. The {4-Diamonds} was put out on the river and Kurganov was shipped the double.

Everyone Loves A Chopped Pot!

Webjoker • Nivo 22: 60,000-120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand #150: Cates limped in for 120,000 from the button with {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. Kurganov in the big blind had {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and made it 420,000. Cates rather quickly announced he was allin. Kurganov called and a 3,850,000 pot was at hand.

Ace-jack versus ace-king, Cates was a 69% favorite to win the hand. The {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop was of no immediate help, and the {5-Clubs} on the turn took away all the back door outs, but added some "choppertunities".

The river came the {9-Diamonds} and Cates planted his head in his arms. It was a chop and they both got back their invested money, and divided Colman's chips.

Hand #151: Kurganov opened the button with {A-Spades}{K-Spades} and both blinds folded.

Hand #152: Cates limped the button with {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} and Kurganov checked his big blind this time with {J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. {Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} on the flop and Kurganov check-folded to Cates' 220,000 bet.

Hand #153: Colman opened his button for 240,000 with {A-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Cates called with {K-Spades}{4-Hearts} in the big blind.

600,000 in the pot and the flop came {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, both players checked and they did so as well on the {5-Spades} on the turn and {2-Hearts} on the river. Small pot for Colman.

Hand #154: Kurganov opened with {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} on the button for 240,000. Colman in the big blind had {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} and shoved allin. Kurganov couldn't call, and folded instead of risking it all.
